the worst thing about being shy and introverted is that you most of the time come off as cold and arrogant like you think you’re better than everyone else and thats why you don’t talk to people or hang out with them but it’s really the opposite its like you’re so uncomfortable with yourself that you don’t wanna share it with anyone else so you just dont and people think you’re an asshole but you’re actually just really scared

fritzle To the anon who was asking about being lonely-- I don't think that means you're not an introvert. Introverts like being alone, but they don't like feeling lonely if that makes sense. It's typical for an introvert to want a close-knit group of friends or just one best friend. What makes them different from extroverts in that aspect is that introverts enjoy the company of just one or two close friends while extroverts get their energy from having many friends.

ri632gg-fan I just found this through Pinterest and I wanted to thank you! My whole life I thought I was strange and I'm almost 20 and I've never been on a real date guys like me but when it comes down to it I'm too introverted and they don't want to take the time. This site has reassured me that there's other people out there with me. Also read the book Quiet by Susan Cain EVERYONE it's amazing! Sorry this isn't really a question but thank you! :)

Anonymous You say that an introvert doesn't mind being alone. But sometimes I do get lonely and do mind the fact that I don't have a very close nit of friends due to me not being able to socialize. Am I an introvert who is just lonely because they are missing connections or am i just lonely?

hey :3 i’m not really an expert on the subject but from what i understand being an introvert doesn’t mean you don’t want to be with people sometimes or that you can’t feel lonely and yeah in general introverts don’t mind being alone but if you’re feeling lonely (introvert or not) then that’s not good and feeling lonely fucking sucks :c so i hope you find someone who can help you out with that because there’s always someone i think and stay cool xoxo
